Alumni Invited Lecture: English

The Dept. of English organised an Alumni Invited Lecture on the 26th October 2023. Dr. C. Lalrinzuala who is presently working in the English Department at Mizoram University was invited to give a lecture to the students of the department. He had graduated from the college with English Honours in 2010 and was awarded a Ph.D. by Mizoram University in June 2022.

The program was chaired by the Head of Department, Ms. A. Hmangaihzuali Poonte. Dr. Lalrinzuala gave an absorbing presentation on postmodern literary theory stressing on Liminality and Queer Theory. A vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Mark V. Vanlalrema, Assistant Professor.

The program was attended by 67 English Core students from the 5th and 3rd semesters, and eight faculty members.
